This three-week project involved repair and external decoration work to a semi-detached house that had been converted into flats near the London Borough of Croydon.
The property had developed a serious subsidence problem due to roots growing from a nearby tree. The roots had cracked and dropped the concrete slab at the front of the property and damaged the front porch.
We got to work by firstly cordoning off the area and ensuring all residents were informed of the work required. We then made sure the area was safe for them by creating an alternative pathway for them to use so they still had access during the works.
To solve the subsidence problem, we took the roof off the porch, and dug down to underpin and support the front slab. Once this was completed, we replaced the porch roof, redecorated the front aspect of the building and made some specialist moulding improvements to one of the porch columns.Go back
